Entertaining Your Group
The Holman Grand Hotel is in the midst of downtown Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The city is renowned for its perfect blend of urban flare, historic sights and seaside living. Not to mention a variety of festivals that fills the streets throughout the year. Plan some time in your itinerary for exploring the city and the province – they've been known to inspire great things.
As you'd expect from an Island province, Prince Edward Island has its share of beaches and spectacular seascapes. Our red sand beaches and coastal cliffs are definitely worth a see. And if your group is interested in participating in maritime life, you can try your hand at clam digging, lobster fishing and tonging for oysters.
We're also happy to regale your group with tales from our storied past. As the birthplace of Confederation, our country began here. Head across the Island (less than an hour's drive) to Green Gables and discover the childhood haunts of Lucy Maud Montgomery and her beloved Anne. Or cue the excitement centre stage as you travel just mere steps to the Confederation Centre of the Arts and enjoy the beloved tale of Canada's most famous red head, Anne of Green Gables!
There's one more thing – in addition to beaches and heritage – that we're renowned for. Our golf Links at Crowbush Cove, Dundarave and Brudenell River are among the top courses in North America. And with 30 courses to choose from, you're never far from teeing off as you travel the island.
By now, your group will have worked up quite an appetite. We've got that covered too. Prince Edward Island is famous worldwide for our lobster, scallops, mussels and oysters (think Malpeque, Raspberry Point and Colville Bay). Learn how to shuck an oyster. Taste each of the 22 mussel flavours on the menu on Charlottetown's waterfront.
